1 pound ground turkey
1 cup onion, finely diced
1/2 cup green pepper, diced
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1/4 cup ketchup
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon honey or agave nectar
Whole-grain hamburger buns, for serving
1. Place turkey meat, onions and green pepper in a slow cooker.
2. Add all the other ingredients and mix well.
3. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
4. Serve on whole-grain hamburger buns.
