Nutrition Guidelines

Based on Dietary Guidelines, FDA definition of “healthy” and American Heart Association.

Recommended Daily Calories:
Children ages 4 – 8: 1400-1600

Girls ages 9 – 13: 1600-2000
Boys ages 9 – 13: 1800-2200

Girls ages 14 – 18: 2000
Boys ages 14 – 18: 2200- 2400


Entree:
Nutrition is based on the average daily allowance of saturated fat, sodium, and protein for children and teens, divided by 3 (3 main meals of the day).

Calories:
No more than 650 calories per serving

Saturated Fat:
No more than 10g of saturated fat per serving

Sodium:
No more than 600mg of sodium per serving

Fiber:
Contains at least 6g dietary fiber

Protein:
Contains at least 12g protein
